IRX, the well established line of VSDs for evaporative air cooling has evolved! Meet IRX2 MotorFix PRO!

Projected to decrease costs and make the installation easier, all versions of IRX2 MotorFix are mounted directly on the motor of fans, exhaustors and evaporative air coolers.

IRX2 MotorFix PRO unites all the essential functions for your application: three relay outputs (air swing / germicidal lamp, drain and pump), digital input for water level sensor and RJ45 port for connecting with the HMI, allowing for integration and local monitoring.

Using the PRO model with HMI MultiCom and WebFi allows for managing your driver through the FlowIRX app. With the PRO model it is possible to connect only one driver per HMI. For applications that demand many drivers with one HMI, we recommend the MAX version.

Surface mounting HMI: available functions

The IRX2 offers several functions accessible directly through the surface-mounted HMI, including drain, exhaust, swing/germicidal lamp control, timer, and automatic or manual mode selection.

Flush mounting HMI: available functions

The flush-mount IRX2 HMI provides the main navigation and control functions, such as speed increase, speed decrease, and configuration. Compact and intuitive, it was designed to ensure easy installation and convenient daily operation.

Directly coupled to the motor

For reducing installation time and costs and making the mounting easier, we projected IRX2 MotorFix to be coupled directly on the induction motor.

Mounting with screws and insulating rubber

MotorFix is coupled to the motor using screws with an insulating rubber piece that ensures firm fixing and vibration absorption.

Enclosure with aluminum heat sink

Exclusive design with a built-in aluminum sink, ensuring great performance in ventilation, climatizing and exhaustion applications.

Installation with cable glands

For mechanical resistance, IRX2 MotorFix is installed with cable glands, ensuring the integrity of cables.

Includes protection fuses

Besides the elevated terminals that make for easier handling and installation, IRX2 MotorFix has individual fuses on each output. This configuration ensures greater protection, preventing damage to the driver’s components.

RJ45 communication

The HMI communicates with the driver module through a CAT5e cable with RJ45 connection. The air cooler accompanies a standard 5 meters long cable, but it is possible to use a CAT5e cable up to 50 meters long, allowing for the ideal length for your application.

Programming key mode

IRX2 MotorFix’s HMI can function as a programming key, recording parameters to be “copied” and “pasted” in other IRX2 drivers. This mode is very practical, especially for machine manufacturers because it considerably reduces the drivers’ configuration time.

Flame-retardant enclosure and cable glands

The enclosure and cable glands are made of flame-retardant materials, ensuring that fire doesn’t spread. This reflects our commitment to safety, ensuring that both the installation and the evaporative cooler are protected against any issues that may originate from the equipment. In addition, the polycarbonate enclosure is resistant to impact and abrasion, providing durability and reliability.

Digital input for water level sensor

The IRX2 MotorFix PRO features a digital input that enhances its functionality and safety. The input allows the connection of a level sensor, protecting the pump against dry running and preventing damage such as motor burnout.

Automatic temperature mode

With the IRX2 MotorFix, greater thermal comfort and energy efficiency can be achieved thanks to its automatic operation, which turns the evaporative cooler on or off to reach the configured target temperature. The unit includes an NTC 10k temperature sensor that can be installed in the surface-mounted HMI for monitoring. When automatic mode is activated, the cooler manages the systems efficiently, ensuring proper temperature control.

Compatible with HMI MultiCom

IRX2 MotorFix PRO is compatible with the HMI MultiCom, connecting one driver per HMI, while IRX2 MotorFix MAX supports 16 drivers. With HMI MultiCom + WebFi, the drivers can be integrated with the FlowIRX app, allowing for remote control and monitoring, sharing access to your devices and activation scheduling.
